It was a very productive and rich summer music season in Belgrade and Serbia, when the biggest festivals Exit, Beer fest or Arsenal fest were held, but as autumn approaches and music events have to move indoors, there are fewer scheduled events due to the situation. with a pandemic.

Last week, on Wednesday, the famous rock band "Kerber” had a concert at the Nis Fortress in their hometown, where they marked 40 years of existence, and also celebrated 4 decades of rockers on the current tour – "Electric Orgasm”.

After the recent two concerts in Zrenjanin, they played last night in Subotica, in the Mladost club.

The Belgrade concert was scheduled for December 9, but due to the circumstances, it is not yet known whether it will happen.

The pop band "Zana”, which has not been discographic or concert active for a long time, will perform tonight after a huge break in Kombank Hall.

Zika and Jelena somehow survived in tandem all these years, so the audience wanted them to perform more and more often in the capital.

After the festival in Kragujevac during the summer, Belgrade also founded a music festival dedicated to Isidora Žebeljan (1967 – 2020), a recently deceased composer, which will be realized tonight and tomorrow at Kolarac’s endowment under the name "Isidori in honor”.

The mini festival will bring together her friends, colleagues and artists, such as Dutch-British violinist Daniel Rowland and cellist Maja Bogdanovic.

On the first day of the festival, a book of interviews and author’s texts by Isidora Žebeljan "While we listen to music, the present is eternal” (Academic Book, Novi Sad) and a performance by members of the "Žebeljan Ensemble” will be presented. The celebrated actress Anica Dobra, Vladislava Gordić Petković, the husband of Isidora Žebeljan – Borislav Čičovački will speak at the promotion.

The evening program will include a concert of solo and chamber music by the artist Zebeljan – "Isidora intimately”. On the second, final day of the festival, on Sunday, the program includes the concert "Isidora mighty”, within which the last Isidora’s completed composition "Bagpipe Stained Glass” will be performed.

Today and tomorrow, Novi Sad is the center of the "Long Live Music” project in Limanski Park, which brings together fellow citizens who practice hard and learn to play some of the instruments.

Performances on the occasion of this event will have a new line-up of the punk band "Peking Duck”, as well as a promotional guest appearance of the Croatian rock group "Atomic Shelter”, which will hold a concert in Novi Sad on the same day. Musician Mile Kekin, the leader of the punk rock attraction "Hladno pivo”, just held a concert with the mentioned band on August 21st. at the Tasmajdan stadium, hangs out with Belgrade again on Sunday, September 26. on the stage of the rock club Fest in Zemun.

This time he performs as the "Mile Kekin Trio” without his parent band, and in similar variants he has already been a guest at this club before the pandemic (January 2020), as well as earlier on the stage of Dom omladine (2019).

Along with Kekin, multi-instrumentalist Danko Krznarić will play, and Damir Šomen is on percussion and drums. There will be this evening of music, stand up comedies, stories about various songs as they were created.

In the meantime, there have been various postponements and cancellations of concerts.

Thus, the blues musician Kezaja Jones from Nigeria was supposed to play on September 23 on the roof of the TC "Gallery Belgrade”, but due to the situation with the corona virus, this concert was postponed until an unknown date. The Lebanese-Armenian violin virtuoso Ara Malikian was transferred to Kombank Hall on September 28, for the same reason, three months later – on December 22, but to the Belexpo Center.

Two spectacle musicals in the form of the concert "Piece of Broadway Night” and "Girl’s Night” in which rock musician Ivana Peters sings, due to Kovid-19, had to be postponed until further notice, in Kombank Hall.

The "(Un) normal band” was supposed to perform at the same place on September 19 at a concert dedicated to Vlado Divljan, but that was also moved to November, and the question is whether it will be realized even then.

During the pandemic, this band already had such an evening at two concerts in Kolarac, as well as on the stage of the BitefArtCafe club in Kalemegdan.

The famous World Music Festival "Todo Mundo” in its 9th edition starts tonight at the DIM club in the center of Belgrade and will last until September 28, and will include six concerts, a photo exhibition and a conference. Today, the festival will be opened by the "a cappella” trio "Rođenice” from Novi Sad and Belgrade, who sing Balkan music, followed by the "Folk Trio of Monica Lakatos” from Hungary.

On the second evening on Sunday, the Greek canon musician – Sofia Labropula will perform, and her guest will be Tijana Stanković, a singer and violinist from Belgrade.

Sunday evening is rounded off by Italian artist Maria Macota, accompanied by accordionist Antonino de Luca, who will present her solo album "Amoreamaro” (2020), after she left the band "Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino”.

After one day off, the third and last evening of September 28 will be marked by the winner of the prestigious award "Vojin Mališa Draškoci” for 2020 and 2021.

Laureate for the current year Dorian Jovanović in collaboration with singer Dobrila Grašeski founded the band "Dobrila & Dorian Duo” and will present the latest album "Apocryph”.

The honor to complete the ninth "Todo Mundo” went to Jelena Popržan, a prominent artist from Austria, a native of Serbia. Jelena is a respected violist, vocalist, composer and performer, and she will present her new album "La Folia” (2020) at her solo performance.

This year’s "Cello Fest” with the subtitle "Awakening”, is dedicated to the memory of musicologist Vesna Kabiljo (1957 – 2013), and also begins today with various programs, but the central concert of the festival is planned for September 28 at Kolarac’s endowment.

The program will feature works by Tchaikovsky, Rossini, Paganini, Chopin and songs of popular music, and along with local artists, proven guests from Europe will perform – Denis Severin (Switzerland), Atanas Krastev (Bulgaria) and Razvan Suma (Romania).

The day before, on September 27, a concert of the best young cellists from all over Serbia will be held in the Ceremonial Hall of the City Assembly, and admission is free.

At the very end of the month, actor Ivan Bosiljčić will come to Kombank Hall again after September 30 for his evening of music, concerts, poetry, acting – monodramas.

The program called "Our Evening” thus continues the series of poetic collage nights, which has been conquering women and couples for more than a decade.
